Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 October 2026

By creating an account or using Thelivi (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. Please read them - they're short. Thelivi is operated by Sreemannarayana Ikkurthi, an individual based in India (“we”, “us”).

The service

Thelivi is an AI assistant that answers questions about documents you provide and information from the web. It is currently free to use (see Free). It is under active development, so features may change, and it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Plans and payment

Thelivi is currently free. No paid plans are offered and nothing is charged.

Your account comes with usage allowances (for example how much the assistant can do in each 6-hour window, and monthly voice and map allowances), shown under Settings → Usage. When an allowance is used up, it refills on schedule.

If paid plans are offered, they are sold by our reseller Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the merchant of record: Polar takes the payment, issues your invoices and receipts, and handles sales tax, VAT or GST. Prices will be shown in your currency before you pay, and a purchase is also subject to Polar's terms at checkout. The following applies only to a paid plan:

  • Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically every month, on the same day, until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time from Plan and usage → Manage subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Your sessions, documents and settings are kept.
  • Changing plans. Upgrades and downgrades are made from Manage subscription; Polar adjusts the charge for the rest of the current period.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Polar will retry it and your plan stays active while it does. If the payment cannot be collected, the plan ends and your account moves to the Free plan.
  • Price changes. We will tell you by email before a price change affects you. It applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Refunds

If you have paid for a plan, payments are not refunded for part-used months: when you cancel, you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. We will refund a payment that was charged by mistake (for example a double charge), and we will give a refund wherever the law requires one. To ask for a refund, email [email protected] from the address on your account; approved refunds are paid by Polar to your original payment method.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering, and let us know of any unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe others' rights;
  • upload content you don't have the right to use;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service;
  • generate harmful, abusive, or deceptive content.

AI output - important

Answers are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate or incomplete. The Service does not provide professional, legal, financial, medical, or tax advice. Always verify important information before relying on it. You are responsible for how you use the output.

This includes what the assistant reads from photos and documents you share (amounts, dates, dosages, reference numbers) and reminders it sets from them: check them against the original before you rely on them.

WhatsApp and voice

Using Thelivi on WhatsApp also requires you to follow WhatsApp's own terms and Meta's business messaging rules. WhatsApp access depends on Meta and may be limited or unavailable. Voice features depend on our speech provider, are not available in every language, and count against your account's monthly voice allowance.

Your content

You keep ownership of the documents and content you upload. You grant us the limited permission needed to process and store that content in order to provide the Service to you (see our Privacy Policy).

Availability & changes

We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it.

Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions? Email [email protected].
